Spring Event 6th April – Outreach and Advocacy
Tickets for our Spring Event are now available through eventbrite.
The theme for this event is library outreach and advocacy. We decided on this theme after reviewing the feedback from our Autumn Event. Attendees asked for speakers from different library sectors, and we felt that this theme is important across all sectors.
NB: Badges will not be available at the Spring Event. Sorry!
Using the direct approach to getting the library message across.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
11.30-12.30 Ann Montgomery, Rachel Hockey, Kevin Sheehan and Janet Clarke from SLA Manchester
3.30 onwards post-event networking, venue to be announced!
We hope that attendees will leave the event with new ideas and enthusiasm for outreach and advocacy in their own workplace. Our speakers will share examples of their outreach and advocacy practices. There will be interactive elements within the presentations, to aid learning and make the day an enjoyable experience!
The event will take place in room 315 at MMU’s Business School. This is just off Oxford Road, which is well-served by public transport, and is approximately a 10 minute walk from Oxford Road train station, or 20 minutes from Piccadilly train station.
We look forward to catching up with previous attendees and meeting new people!
