A network for new and aspiring library professionals
Firstly, thank you to everyone who attended our fourth Manchester NLPN event. The event focused on areas that are and will be essential to new professionals in the information sector field. The event focused on Digital Skills (Simon Barron), Copyright (Jane Secker) and Open Access (David Jenkins).
We really value the input from all attendees and we are pleased that everyone who attended would recommend the event to a friend or colleague. We asked if there was any topics that you would like to see at the next event, the response was varied and has set the foundation for the fifth NLPN event.
The feedback we received on how to improve our next event has provided us much food for thought. As we are a non-profit network that relies on funding from external sources, we will take in to considering the option of expanding the event size, having a longer day and a wider selection of speakers and as ever, we are constantly looking for a solution so that WiFi can be made available to all.
If you didn’t get a chance to complete an evaluation form, please email us at ManchesterNLPN@gmail.com and we will send you a form.If you didn’t attend the event, but would like to see a specific topic at the next event, please email us with your suggestions.
We would like to thank Simon, Jane & David for kindly agreeing to speak at our event. Also, thank you to Sue Hill Recruitment, TFPL Recruitment and Manchester Metropolitan University Information and Communication Department, without their kind donations, we would not have been able to run this non-profit event.
