A network for new and aspiring library professionals
We’re very pleased to announce the details of #NLPNSummer, as detailed above. This may be our most practical event yet; what could be more practical than helping attendees to ace that interview?! Get your tickets here.
David Stewart and Neil Donohue will share the benefits of their experiences of interviews and presentations, from both sides of the table.
We were really pleased with the response to our call for speakers, and have selected three great, practical presentations from new professionals sharing insights into their professional development. The new professional presenters are Nicola Grayson & Helen Gaffney, Evelyn Webster and Emily Wheeler.
The structure of the day will be as follows:
10 – 10.15 Registration
10.15 – 12 David Stewart
12-1 Lunch (lunch will not be provided, but there will be tea, coffee and cake!)
1.20-1.35 Nicola Grayson and Helen Gaffney
1.40-1.55 Emily Wheeler
2-2.45 Neil Donohue
3 onwards – Networking in The Waterhouse (named after the architect who designed Manchester Town Hall!)
Venue: Manchester Quaker House
6 Mount Street
The Friends Meeting House is behind the Manchester Central Library and close to the Town Hall and Albert Square. There are bus, tram and rail stops close by.
There is a bike rack but no car park for public use. There are several car parks within walking distance – these are well signposted.
