A network for new and aspiring library professionals
NLPN’s next event, Get Career Ready, in collaboration with the CILIP Yorkshire and Humberside member network is not too far away – taking place at the Sheffield Quaker Meeting House on Saturday 21st March 10am – 4pm. You may have seen a recent call for papers here on the blog and on our other social media accounts. In addition to presentations for new and early-career professionals, we’ll be hearing from experienced professionals who will be sharing their expertise with us.There will be plenty of opportunity for Q and A with these guests, so to help you to get to know them, we have mini bios! First up, Lisa Jeskins.
A freelance trainer and consultant, Lisa has had her own business for three years. A Chartered Librarian, with over 15 years’ experience of working in libraries, Lisa incorporates this experience into providing engaging and interactive training for information professionals.
Lisa was a graduate trainee at MMU and went on to library school at Leeds Met. Since then she has had various roles at MMU Library, been a Faculty Liaison Library at Dubai Women’s College, was the Information Centre Manager at the Equal Opportunities Commission, and finally, before running away to join the circus set up her own business, she was a Promotions and Outreach Officer working on Copac and the Archives Hub at Mimas…
Lisa is also the Chair of the LILAC Conference, a member of the CILIP Information Literacy Group and a CILIP Mentor.
