A network for new and aspiring library professionals
The ethos of NLPN is to create a network for new and future library professionals, a network where, collectively, we can explore and develop our knowledge and practical skills in key areas of the information sector.
Previous calls for papers have been a huge success and attendees saw presentations on varied topics such as starting a library society at university to moving library spaces in your first professional post. The opportunity was offered again at our joint event with CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside where speakers presented on their experiences in the workplace and dissertation topics focusing on gender. We have decided to issue a call again for three speakers to share knowledge on a library issue they are passionate about. This is an exciting opportunity to gain some experience in presenting at an event and to share knowledge with the network. The presentations will be 10 minutes, and delivered at our next event on 30th January 2016 in Manchester.
This opportunity is open to everyone.
If any of these apply: Submit a PowerPoint (or similar) presentation, complete with notes to firstname.lastname@example.org The NLPN team need to receive presentations by Monday 11th January. We will notify all applicants and issue the full event line up the following Monday (18th January). Please contact us on Twitter or by email if you’d like to discuss an idea before submitting a presentation.
