NLPN Winter

Join us on Saturday 18th February 2017 10am-4.30pm for our next event, NLPN Winter. Once again, our event will be held at Madlab in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. This time we are kindly sponsored by JISC.

The speakers will be covering a wide variety of topics including negotiation, systems and relationship management.

If you are working towards Chartership, this event will help with evidence for PKSB areas 1.8, 2.7, 3.3, 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, 11.3, 12.3 and 12.6.

Plan for the day:

10.15-10.30am – Registration

10.30-11.30 – Liam Earney, Jisc: What does it mean to work in licensing and negotiation for Jisc?

11.30-11.45 – Break: A chance to eat cake and network

11.45-12.45 – Shona Thoma, Irish Research eLibrary: Prepared to negotiate: Establishing the skills for e-Resources and Acquisitions librarianship

12.45-1.45 – Lunch

1.45-2.45 – Sarah Roughley, UKSG – Librarians, Publishers and National Committees: working together for the end user

2.45-3.00 – Break: A chance to eat more cake and network

3.00-4.00 – Ciaran Talbot, University of Manchester: Lifting the lid on library systems

4.00-4.15 – Evaluation forms/end of the day

Tickets have sold out but the waitlist is open so if you’re interested sign up via Eventbrite.
